A commissioned residential design project to hide two doors, for example, a powder room and coat closet, and to create a seamless alcove that adjoins the main hallway and living room. STRAIT is a panelling system made of oiled, solid walnut strips, concealed hinges, and magnetic push door latches. Clean, warm lines wrapping the walls and ceiling, form an intimate and inviting passageway like a passage of water connecting two seas.
